A few of us who were involved in the film Escape from Sobibor which was directed by Jack still keep in touch after so many years. The subject involving the true story of a remarkable escape of inmates from the concentration camp Sobibor was a harrowing topic and it is such a testament to Jack's patience and compassionate direction that it helped create such an atmosphere among the crew and cast that some of us feel that our connection with each other during the shoot was an extraordinary commemoration of not only of what's terrible about Humankind but also of what is wonderful about us. Jack was what is wonderful about us.
